4. Location Data

4.1 When We Collect Location

Location data is only collected when you actively start a ride recording. We do not track your location in the background or when the App is closed.

4.2 Location Accuracy

We use high-accuracy GPS for ride tracking. You can adjust location settings in your device's system settings.

4.3 Location Permissions

The App requires location permission to function. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings, but this will disable ride tracking functionality.

5. Sensor Data

5.1 Motion Sensors

The App accesses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to calculate lean angles and detect potential crashes.

5.2 Sensor Processing

All sensor data is processed locally on your device. Raw sensor data is not transmitted to our servers.

6. Emergency Features

6.1 Crash Detection

If enabled, the App monitors sensor data for patterns that may indicate a crash. This feature runs locally on your device.

6.2 Emergency Notifications

If a potential crash is detected and you don't respond to the countdown, the App will send SMS messages to your designated emergency contacts. These messages include your last known location.

6.3 Emergency Contact Data

Emergency contact information is stored locally on your device and is only used for crash detection notifications.

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 Analytics

We may use analytics services to understand App usage patterns. This data is anonymized and does not include your ride data or location information.

7.2 Advertising (Free Version)

The free version of the App displays advertisements. Ad providers may collect device information as described in their respective privacy policies. Premium users do not see ads.

7.3 Payment Processing

Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not directly collect or store payment information.

Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.

15.2 Crash Detection Limitations

Crash detection is not guaranteed to detect all crashes or to work in all conditions. It may also produce false positives. This feature should not be relied upon as your sole safety measure. Always inform someone of your riding plans independently.

15.3 Not a Safety Device

RideAppAI is a data recording and analysis tool. It is not a certified safety device and should not be used as a substitute for proper safety equipment, training, or judgment.
